We need to update, out of the blue at the end of July 2023 our landlords gave us notice to end our tenancy. This is not a normal tenancy as we have been here 22years have never been in arrears in rent or utilities nor do the landlords have any complaints about us. They decided to put their own summer residence on sale which adjoins our home and garden but their house is 2 fields away. After trying to purchase our home for 18months we now face a court case and eviction. We have diligently sought other rented accommodation but can find nothing unfurnished within our restricted budget, we are pensioners with a son who is disabled.
The house was semi-derelict when we began to rent we have spent around 50,000euro making it habitable completely at our own expense, with permission from our landlords we erected 2 sheds 16ft by 12ft and 20ftx12ft to accommodate a workshop and computer room for our son. The landlord also sold us a 30ft mobile home which was already on site so we could work on the house. We also have poultry. Below are some pictures illustrating the changes we have made, no compensation has been offered. As you may imagine this is a very brief account of a much longer heartbreaking story.
